Welcome to Mrs.Power's Grade 3 website. I will use this website throughout the year to provide you with important information regarding upcoming events, homework, links to learning, EQAO, and test review. I hope you find it helpful. You can also follow our class on Twitter @mrs_power3.

Technology


We are learning about and embracing technology. Our goal with technology is to support our learning and communicate with parents, other teachers, and other students. Technology will be used daily in our classroom and it will be used safely. Each student must sign a safe use of technology agreement before being allowed to use school technology.


Agenda

Communication between home and school is very important. Agendas will be used regularly to record homework and other messages. Please read and initial your child’s agenda daily. It is also a convenient place for you to jot any messages or notes for me. When your child receives the agenda, please review the first section of the agenda for useful information concerning school routines and policies. Please sign p. 8 once you have read through the information. 


Homework

A monthly homework program will begin in early September. Homework consists of 5 Math questions and tracking reading minutes each month. Please return all homework in the blue folder.


Program Night

Families are welcome to join us for Program Night on Thursday, September 13th from 5:30-6:30pm in the classroom, and 6:30-8:00pm at the Fun Fair. 


Classroom Supplies


These are optional supplies. Our wish list includes...

  • 1 box of large Zip Lock bags (not slide lock)

  • personal pencil sharpener (with shavings case)

  • 2 boxes of facial tissue (ie. Kleenex)

  • 1 inch round felt pads for bottom of chair legs

  • 1 set of inexpensive earbuds for iPads, Chromebooks

SeeSaw Grade 3 E-Portfolios
Seesaw is an app we're using to share what your child is learning at school. An information sheet will be sent home at the beginning of the year with how to set up this program to access your child's work.
