Oconto High School has a long and proud tradition of academic excellence, offering a wide variety of academic choices and co-curricular activities. OHS will have approximately 277 students to start the 2017-18 school year. We have an 8 period day providing many excellent electives for our students. Our Advanced Placement and Challenge programs offer students an excellent college preparatory experience. Our Technical education and vocational training for students helps prepare them for employment opportunities. Our students also experience the state of the art facilities our community supported through referendum.  We have a safe and orderly environment for students to learn.

Almost $20,000 in scholarships was awarded to our seniors last year. Many of our graduating seniors earn college credit while in high school, some enough to begin college as a second semester freshman. Students participate in an excellent athletic program as well as many opportunities with clubs and organizations.

OHS is a member of the Packerland Conference. In 2012-13 our Volleyball team was the state runners up and our baseball team won the state championship. We have been recognized by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Administration three times for outstanding school sportsmanship.

Our Life Smarts team has been National Champions and repeated last year as State Champions.  In 2017 two of our students were National Robotics Champions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       We are in the fifth year with our partnership with Bellin Hospital where our students can earn three college credits.
We have an excellent faculty with over half obtaining Masters Degree level of education.

2017 is also the first year of our NorthEast Wisconsin Learning Academy
