NOHS Attendance

Absent notes may be emailed to: jlangston@oconeeschools.org

The Attendance Office is open from 7:45 AM until 3:45 PM during pre-planning when
school is in session, teacher workdays, and during post-planning. The Attendance office
is closed for Christmas Break, Spring Break and the Summer Vacation period.
The attendance office is located in the Administration Office (main office). As you enter
the door to the office the attendance secretary will be seated on the left-hand side.
The attendance office is where students report when arriving to school late and/or
dismissing early. Student IDs are needed in order for a student to check in late or
check out early. Students should be aware of this and have their IDs in hand when
entering the attendance area.

The attendance office accepts all notes following absences, supplies the forms required
when going for a college visit, prepares student enrollment forms, as required by the
State of GA DMV Services, prepares attendance letters as required by employers and
schedules detention.

The  Attendance office is staffed by Mrs. Jeannette Langston.  She may be reached by phone at
706-769-7760, ext. 5002, by e-mail at jlangston@oconeeschools.org or by fax at 706-769-4766.
SCHOOLS WILL NOT ACCEPT PHONE CALLS, FAXES, OR EMAILS REQUESTING AN EARLY CHECKOUT FOR A STUDENT DRIVING HIS OR HERSELF FROM SCHOOL.
NOHS provides specific early release forms to be used on exam days.  In the absence of the school provided release form, someone would need to enter the building to request a student be released.

Students IDs are required when signing in and signing out through the attendance office.
Students arriving late or leaving early report to the attendance office to document arrival and dismissal times.
