Heather Krueger
Head Coach

Coach Krueger began her athletic career at Ocean Township high school where she was a 4 year starter on the girls’ lacrosse team and captain her Sophomore through Senior year. She helped lead her team to an undefeated regular season her senior year and into the semi-finals of both the Shore Conference and State Tournaments. This 2002 team stills maintains the fewest losses (2) in an Ocean Girls’ lacrosse season. She received the Asbury Park Press player of the week, as well as Star Ledger player of the week during her Sophomore through Senior seasons. In 2002, Coach Krueger was named the Shore Conference girls’ lacrosse most valuable player, second team all state selection, and recognized as an All American. Coach Krueger holds numerous Ocean girls’ lacrosse records including most goals scored in a single season as well as in a single game. She also currently holds the school record for career goals with 287.

Coach Krueger was awarded a full athletic scholarship and continued her lacrosse career at Wagner College. As a Seahawk she was a four year starter at center and helped lead her team to two Northeast Conference playoffs. During her Sophomore season she was ranked in the top 20 for goals in Division I women’s lacrosse. She was also 4th in the nation for goals per game. Coach Krueger holds the Wagner women’s lacrosse records for single season goals, as well as the record for career goals. She also ranks amongst the top ten in the record book for career ground balls, draw controls, and single season points. Coach Krueger was a three-time All NEC Selection as well as being selected to the NEC Academic Honor Roll. She was named the team’s MVP in the 2006 season.

After Wagner, Coach Krueger began her coaching career at Neptune high school where she began the lacrosse program. She was the JV and Varsity coach the first two seasons and from there she led the team as head coach for 8 years. She also spent time coaching at T3 Shore.

In 2012 she was inducted into the Ocean Township High School hall of fame.

Brittany Dilger
Assistant Coach

This is Brittany’s first season coaching girl’s lacrosse for Ocean Township. She played soccer and lacrosse for four years for the Spartans where she was named captain during her senior year for lacrosse in 2011. She was a three year starter at every position besides goalie for the Varsity Lacrosse program where she finished with 84 goals. Throughout her career, she helped the Spartans get to the Shore Conference Tournament three times and the second round of States in 2009 where they suffered a tough loss to No. 1 Moorestown.

Brittany continued her lacrosse career at Montclair State University as a four year starting defender. During her collegiate career in the Skyline Conference, she was named first team All-Conference, was selected by the NJAC for the “Defensive Player of the Week” twice and “Rookie of the Week.” She led the team to two Skyline Conference Championship victories and to the NCAA tournament twice where they made it to the second round. She finished up her career with 79 ground balls and 40 caused turnovers. Prior to joining the Spartans, she coached JV lacrosse for the Green Wave at Long Branch High School. She is excited to contribute to the program, continue her coaching career at her alma mater and rejoin the Spartan legacy.
