New Year Motivation :)

posted Jan 6, 2017, 1:22 PM by Kyle Nurse

Hi y'all,
I hope everyone has been having a fun and relaxing holiday with a little bit of practicing mixed in!

Quick Reminder:
WE ARE HAVING REHEARSAL ON MONDAY!!  So please make your usual transportation arrangements.  We will be getting back into the swing of things with Donkey Riding, Horkstow Grange, some sight reading, and some fun activities!

Please be prepared as you would any rehearsal.  MusicFest is only 7 weeks away: Saturday, February 25th!  Those weeks are going to fly by.  We had about 10 weeks together for our first concert, so we are going to have to work extra hard to be ready for MusicFest.

Here are some New Year motivations for you :)

Sun Dance - Ticheli <-- goals???
Breathing Gym <--- how to work on breathing and breath support... VERY IMPORTANT!

See y'all in a few days ready to make wonderful music again!

Hey y'all,
Please print off the sheet music for Horkstow Grange for Monday, December 12.  Clarinet 3 assignments have been posted with the PDF.  This is an extremely important part so many of the clarinets have been put on it.

Thank you,
Nurse

PS check your email for a more exciting version!

New Piece and Chair Placements

posted Nov 11, 2016, 11:39 AM by Kyle Nurse

**IMPORTANT** Please print off your part for "Donkey Riding" and be ready to play it for Monday.  Being ready to play means you have learned the notes at rhythms ACCURATELY at a slower tempo and you have LISTENED to the recording several times!

Congratulations to everyone for completing your first Chair Placement Test at CB!  There will be more this year and in the years to come and EVERYONE approached it with great professionalism and did the best they could.  It was very refreshing to hear everyone play individually and notice how much work had been put into the pieces :)  Great job to everyone!

If you were unable to see the chair placement list posted outside the music room door, it is uploaded below.  Reminder to the section leaders: we will be having a meeting on MONDAY @ LUNCH!  Please bring your food and it will be brief.

Congrats again :)
Nurse
