2018 - 2019 Course Change Requests

Information Regarding Course Change Requests - Semester 2

Most classes are full at this time, and many have long waiting lists. Student Services staff are completely booked up with appointments, so please read the information below if you are considering making a request to change one of your chosen courses.

If you have a question regarding course changes for Semester 2, you can come to student services on Wednesday, January 30 between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm to speak to a Guidance Counsellor.

A chart indicating the current status of availability for grade 11 and 12 is accessible at the link below.  Please note that  "Waitlisted" means that students must withdraw from the class before students on the waiting list can be offered a seat in the course.

Course Status Semester 2 - 2018-2019

If you need to request a course change for Semester 2, please note the following priorities for course changes:

  • an incomplete timetable
  • a missing prerequisite
  • teacher recommendation of pathway change (i.e. switch from MCF3M to MCR3U math)
  • a grade 12 student who selected 8 courses and would like to take a spare
Elective changes (i.e. a students who have a full schedule and have changed their mind) can only be processed if there is space, and in most cases can only be done if students are willing to have current courses rearranged.

If you have submitted a request for a change for semester 2 and it can be accommodated, it will be on your timetable when you receive it on the first day of class. If a change can be made after the first day of class, Student Services will contact you through your student email or an announcement.

If you are not contacted regarding a change requested for then a change is not possible. Your name will remain on a waiting list until the end of the first week of class.
