Potential Graduate and Post-Secondary Information Sessions

Presentations will be taking place this Wednesday, October 4 for grade 12 students during period 1 at 10:35 am. Information being presented will include:

  • Graduation requirements - are you on track?

  • Post Graduation Options

  • Application process for University and College

  • OSAP

  • Upcoming Sessions for more information such as funding your post secondary studies, completing college applications, etc. 

Course  Changes for 2017 - 2018 

The Course Change period has now ended, and student requests to change courses is now closed. Course changes that have been submitted will continue to be processed this week. 

All course changes continue to be processed in order of priority, and non-compulsory changes can only be considered after all other changes have been made. Please note that many classes are full, and a change can only be made if space permits.

Priority will be given to changes required due to:

  • Course conflict / cancellation

  • Missing prerequisite

  • A change in pathway (i.e. from College to University; Academic to Applied)

  • If your are a Grade 12 student and considering a spare in your schedule

  • Teacher recommendation

  • Post-secondary education admission requirements

To submit a course change request, you must complete the Request for Course Change with a parent / guardian. Regardless of the reason for your change, continue to follow the schedule as it appears on your timetable and a counsellor will contact you if a change can be made.

Welcome to Glebe Student Services!

The goal of our staff in Student Services at Glebe Collegiate Institute is to work side-by-side with students and their families and to ensure that they have the best possible preparation for university, college or the world of work. Whatever post-secondary pathway students choose guidance personnel are available for individual academic and career planning. Please make an appointment with your guidance counselor should you wish to discuss pathway planning.

Individual Counselling

High school can be a new and exciting experience. However, there are times when everyone could use some support and help. Guidance counsellors provide students with personal counselling, as well as, referral service to other professionals and community partners. Please make an appointment with your guidance counsellor for counseling and supports.
