ABOUT YOUR TEACHER: My name is Thach-Thao Phan. I've been teaching math for over 20 years and base my program on educational pedagogical research focusing on differentiated inquiry to promote thinking and problems solving. The goal is for my students to expand their prior learning, learn and persevere through trial and error, and build mathematical confidence. We spiral through the content of the course by revisiting the expectations multiple times to provide students more opportunities to demonstrate and reflect on their learning, and allow me to triangulate assessment (through observation, conversation and product).
