Roughly 50% of Oberlin's electricity comes from renewable sources. However, the amount of renewable energy Oberlin College is able to purchase is fixed, so any reductions in consumption will directly reduce the amount of coal-generated electricity purchased. You can therefore use the carbon intensity of coal-generated electricity when calculating carbon savings.
