Greetings fabulous OEA members!

I hope everyone had a relaxing and rejuvenating summer.

Thank you for all of you positive an useful feedback in 2010-2011 after the launch of the new OEA website.

Based on the feedback, I have made some changes this year.

1. THIS WEEK IN THE OEA -  There were too many slides last year! So this year I will keep try to keep it at 10 or under and do weekly announcements summarizing what's important. These announcements will be on the lower right hand side of the front page.

2. NEW PAGES:
OEA Leadership and Staff - Learn more about the OEA executive board and leadership.
Unemployment Benefits - Get current information on the CA unemployment benefits process including how to do an appeal.
Money For Teachers - Keep checking back for information on student loan repayment, grants and free stuff for teachers.

3. STREAMLINED PAGES - I reduced the number of pages on the website by combining several and deleting a few.

4. TONED DOWN COLORS - The site got a little busy sometimes with all that happened last year. I wanted to get ready for an eventful 2011 - 2012. Hopefully it's all good news!

5. REGULAR TWITTER AND FACEBOOK UPDATES - Keith Brown will be sending you regular twitter updates and we will use Facebook a lot more to organize for events.  So sign up below!
