Bill on Teacher Evaluations

Senator Loni Hancock is being pressured by Super PACs to oppose AB 5 (Fuentes). This bill would use multiple measures for evaluations and ensure that evaluation systems are locally negotiated. Please contact The Senator NOW and ask her to support the bill. We especially need calls coming from Oakland Education Association and United Teachers of Richmond.

September 2, 2012 - Proposition 32 and Proposition 30

The California Teachers Association (CTA) is mounting a statewide campaign to defeat Proposition 32 and pass Proposition 30.
You will be contacted by OEA/CTA members and staff to schedule site meetings to discuss the importance of these measures to our freedom of speech and our ability to achieve a fair contract.
Please discuss with your staff the best time to have the meeting and schedule one soon.
