Free backpacks for students in prekindergarten through 12th grade will be available at the Adair County Neighborhood Center August 3rd through the 31st. Forms will need to be filled out and it is important that families call for an appointment ahead of time. Appointments can be made Monday through Friday by calling 641-743-2424. These backpacks will include general school supplies but may not include everything on your student’s list.
Middle and high school students and parents: Mrs. Ramey has created a school counselor website that will have updates throughout the year pertaining to the counseling program. Some things you may find are resources for basic needs, mental health needs, counseling updates, scholarship information, upcoming testing opportunities, and college/career planning information. This website can be accessed through the Orient-Macksburg Schools website.
