About The Conference

The Gulf Astronomy Conference on its 14th anniversary will be held this year at New York University in Abu Dhabi. The goal of the conference is to bring together astrophysicists,
astronomers and amateur astronomers from the Gulf region to exchange ideas as well as to present their scientific results to experts and to the general public. It also provides opportunities to astronomers and astrophysicists to develop new scientific collaborations.
We would like to encourage and invite people who are
interested in astronomy and astrophysics to attend this event which is totally free of charges.

The conference has two sessions:
  • Morning session (9:00 AM-1:00 PM): this session is dedicated to people with expetise in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. Speakers will have the chance to present their latest results and discuss them. It also gives the possibility to astrophysicists and astronomers to conceive regional and international collaborations.
  • Afternoon session (2:00 PM-5:00 PM): it is dedicated to the general public. The aim of this session is to provide the audience with interesting and stimulating talks about observational astronomy. This is a unique opportunity to anyone passionate by this subject living in the Gulf region to get involved in astronomy, astrophysics and space science and get updated with the latest news from the Universe.
