Smart saving and investing helps individuals and families meet the financial challenges of today’s tough economy.

Money Matters is a series of workshops and e-learning modules created to help New York Public Library staff, other libraries, and not for profit organizations understand key personal finance concepts, subject matter content, and available unbiased, research-based resources to better assist patrons of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds with money management inquiries.

This website provides training materials needed to conduct workshops in this area. The e-learning modules can be launched directly from the site.

Money Matters Featured on the Institute of Museums and Library Services Site

In 2011 IMLS awarded a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant to the New York Public Library. We were able to develop curriculum to support over 60 events and workshops promoting financial literacy at NYPL and beyond.
