Good Afternoon,

Our mission is to prepare students for life's next step by accelerating their academic performance and nurturing their social development.
We believe that "we are all responsible for student success and learning."  We believe that " a focus on performance and results" leads to "continuous improvement."

We received our 2012 ACT scores this week.  Our ACT scores are up from last year and all except math exceed the State average.  Math met the State average and improved from last year.  Here are the "talking facts."

  • We tested 304 students up 15 from last year.
  • English - NvHS 20.1 up .5 from last year.  State 19.3 same as last year.
  • Mathematics - NvHS 20.1 up .2 from last year.  State 20.1 up .2 from last year
  • Reading - NvHS 20.7 up .7 from last year.  State 20.0 up .1 from last year
  • Science - NvHS 20.6 up .1 from last year.  State 20.4 up .1 from last year
  • Composite - NvHS 20.5 up .4 from last year.  State 20.1 up .1 from last year
Our academic achievement continues its upward movement thanks to all of our staff, our students, their families, and the Northview community who supports our school district.  We are all responsible for student success.  This is another reason why the emotional and spiritual bond between  the Northview community and its schools continues to be strong.

I encourage you to share this "evidence" with your circles of influence.  Public schools in Northview are working.  I encourage our elected officials to share the Northview story and be a champion for our public schools.

Sincerely and With Great Respect,

Mike
