Independent book project

Each trimester, the students will be creating one book project! The students will be presenting these creative, and fun projects to the class. The students have different choices and options of which project they would like to do! With each project, students must also include a 1-2 paragraph summary. Students will be presenting this project to the class.

Due Dates:

Project #3 due: Monday June 1st (CANCELLED)

Book review

Each trimester, students will be writing one book review to showcase a book that they have read throughout the trimester in class and at home. This is similar to a book report and should be typed.

In-Class Essay

These in-class essay assignments will count as a test grade. Throughout the year, students will be writing in-class essays about a thoughtful stop and jot they made while reading. Students should introduce the book, and include detailed paragraphs to support thinking! Students MUST use text evidence. Students will be provided with a checklist, given ample time to prepare, and will be given the rubric prior to writing.
