EcoSchools USA

Our 6th graders are working to help Northvale Public School become a Green Ribbon School. EcoSchools USA is a nationally run program that supports student learning about sustainability.

The 6th graders are conducting the WOW-Watershed Pathway this year. Communities are supported by their watershed, and a healthy watershed provides clean freshwater and nourishes wildlife and plants. Students will be investigating the ways that communities contribute to their watershed, for example, through litter prevention, water conservation practices, and sustainable gardening practices.
