TMCC hosted 53 students from Reno High for the first in our series of recruiting events based on Business and Computer Technology games. The games gave students a chance to show off some impressive knowledge and problem solving abilities in Business Jeopardy, Logisics Probability, Virtual Robot Challenge and Wireless Explorer Challenge games. They also had a chance to network with TMCC faculty at a lunch. TEBA member Travis Finch and his wife provided partial funding for the lunch through the Port of Subs shop in Spanish Springs.
We are summarizing data we gathered on how the event affected the students opinions about higher education and career choices. We'll report to TEBA at our next meeting.
