What is a Digital Portfolio?

The video below was created by THS students to explain the basics of our digital portfolio.

An electronic portfolio, or digital portfolio, is a collection of evidence that shares a person’s abilities and personality.  This evidence may include text, computer files, images, multimedia, blogs, and hyperlinks.  Digital portfolios, like traditional portfolios, can show growth and learning over time, and allow students to reflect on their own learning. During the semester course Digital Media, students create the framework of a digital portfolio they will edit and update during their remaining high school years.

Portfolio Events

Each semester's  Digital Media course culminates in an event in which students present their portfolio to the public.   At these events, which are much like a science fair or open house, all community members are invited to circulate among students, who discuss and present their body of work.
