  • Students choose their topics within the genre we are studying.
  • Writers plan, write, revise as they write.
  • Our next genre is FICTION!

  • MCAS Session 2 Wednesday 4/12/17
  • Writing Essays
  • Independent Reading - 25 minutes per night, 7 days a week 
  • Weekly independent spelling routine

Reader's Workshop

  • Ask your 6th grader all about Reader's Workshop!
  • Students choose books to read at their "Just Right" level.
  • Have your child read a page from a book.  If he or she encounters five words or more that are too challenging, then the book is a challenge book for your child.

OUR HOMEWORK: 
Read 25 minutes of reading a day!
