Welcome

Parents and Students,

Students should arrive at school no later than 7:50 to ensure time to go to their locker, check the boards for first and second periods, get their books, go to homeroom, copy their homework, order their lunch and be present for devotions before first period at 8:05 for their first class! Parents, please sign your child’s homework pad nightly, making sure they have completed the assignment. If they forgot a book or paper, just write a note and still sign it. FOLDERS will be sent home each Monday with their papers. Please keep the papers; look over them with your child, sign the back of the folder, and return it to the homeroom teacher on Tuesday.

Your Fourth Grade Teachers

Fourth Grade Enrichment Survey

From Mrs Bass:

We begin our Recorder Karate curriculum this week. Here's what you need to know:

  • ALL students need to have a simple pocket folder labeled with their name and should bring it back and forth to music each week. This will hold their practice music and other handouts.
  • Students who already have 2 Cambridge recorders at home should bring one of them to class this week to use as their classroom recorder. Make sure it is labeled with their name and in either a recorder case or a Ziploc bag. New recorders that students ordered will be handed out this week.
  • My suggestion for practice time is 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week. This will allow your child to build skills and be successful on their instrument and music. Zero practice = zero improvement
  • Extra resources can be found on YouTube>Recorder Karate>type in the specific song.

Thanks!

Dear Parents,
The NRCA Legacy Annual Fund Drive is in full swing with over $50,000 received.   We need 100% support by our Board, staff, school families, alumni, grandparents, and friends to make possible many wonderful additions for the Kingdom education of our students.  Your gifts support our students and afford them the excellence they receive on their educational journey.  As to the excellence we offer, the Class of 2018 received 4.5 million dollars in college scholarships with 88 out of 134 achieving a 4.0 GPA.

See how your gift can make a difference below and the ways you can give.  Donors of $1000 or more are members of the Superintendent Fund and receive play tickets and an invitation to the Knights Donor Appreciation Dinner.  Please consider gifts of $25,000, $10,000, $1000, $500, $250 or whatever gift God lays on your heart.  Make NRCA part of your end of year giving!

HOW YOU GIFT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

1. By helping us build an elementary playground with a rubberized surface and two wonderful $25,000 play structures that will accommodate 80 students.  We are praying for two donors to purchase these structures for our children.
2. By completing the funds necessary for a new Charter Bus that benefits all our students.
3. By providing tuition assistance and diversity scholarships so Kingdom education is available to all God’s children.
4. By assisting with the long-needed renovation of the Tennis Complex with a Mondo hard-court playing surface.
5. By continuing the Founder’s Day Celebration and Concert that brings the school family together for a time of praise, thanksgiving, and fellowship.
6. By making possible other gifting opportunities as they are developed.
