Homework Club & School Calendar

The homework club is back!

I try to stay after school twice per week to help my students with their homework. Please contact me for details on the Homework Club and, if needed, a parent/guardian consent form.

Check
this page for the Homework Club schedule. Note that dates are subject to change with one week's notice.

Also on that calendar is information on school holidays, report card and progress report distribution, and more.

About Me

I was born in the Bronx, raised in Brooklyn, and graduated from the New York City Public Schools. As a high school student, I was a Head Start volunteer, a Boy Scout leader, and summer camp counselor. I was destined to become a teacher!

For four years after getting my BA in Psychology from Clark University in Worcester, MA, I was a resource teacher at Quaboag Regional Middle/High School in Warren, MA.

I then served as Key Teacher for Special Education at E.O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT for three years. During that time, I earned my MA in Special Education at the University of Connecticut.

Though I loved teaching, the allure of technology led me away to a career in marketing audio, broadcast, and Internet products. Returning to teaching, though, was always in the back of my mind.

In 2011, I moved to Jersey City and I became a teacher for the second time in October 2014. In February 2015, I was appointed to my current position at First Avenue School.
