Dear Colleagues and Partners;

As the year 2011 draws to a close, we reflect on your kindness and generosity to us as we have weaved a path towards the transformation of the sport sector.

Although there is a long way to go, we close 2011 with confidence and satisfaction as we have been better able to deliver our work and cooperate with more partners and serve our stakeholders in a different way. Read More

27 Countries in Sport for Development Resolve to Address Gender Based Violence in Sport

[Port of Spain, 11/11/11] The Next Step Conference 2011 ended this evening with resolutions to adopt Principles on Gender Based Violence in Sport and to develop Standards, the second key resulution is to develop and share resources and tools to use sport to address Gender Based Violence with a commitment to report on actions and progress at the Next Step 2013 Conference.


This is a milestone in the campaign on Gender Based Violence spearheded by NOWSPAR, Nowergian Olympic Committe and Women Win, the Next Step Conference is a leading platform in the sport and development community convened every two years. This year the confenference brought together over 150 delegates from 27 Countries around the world from Africa, America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Caribean and the Pacific with the theme: 'Sport and MDG8 Promoting Global Partnerships'.
