The Brookwood FFA has started a project to help the people in the surrounding areas of Houston, Texas following hurricane Harvey.  It is called "Socks and Sentiments for Houston".  Please bring pairs of new socks to the high school & deposit them in the can near the milk machine.  These socks can be for men, women, or children as long as they are new.  You determine the number of pairs you would like to donate.  You can also, if you like, drop a note of support in the basket near the drop off point.,  Socks also can be dropped off in the Ag room.  This project runs through Sep. 29th.  Thank you in advance for your support.

SENIORS:  Please get your class dues to Mr. Mack by the end of this week.

Picture re-takes will be on Oct. 26th.

Monroe County Junior Livestock Committee Meeting- Tuesday, Sep. 12th, @ 8:00 pm, at the Tomah High School Library, 901 Lincoln Ave.  ALL STUDENTS PLANNING TO SELL ANIMALS AT THE MONROE COUNTY FAIR MUST ATTEND ONE MEETING A YEAR.

The Well Youth Ministry welcomes students every Wednesday evening! Doors open at 4:30 and close at 7:00.  There will be a full meal provided, games, activities, etc.  All students in grades 7-12 are welcome.  Ask Mr. Mack if you have any questions.

WORK PERMIT INFO:  Students ages 16 & 17 no longer need a work permit!  To obtain a work permit you may come to the Brookwood  High School office and MUST have the following items:  Birth Certificate (which will be returned to you).; Written Parental permission slip.; A letter from your future employer stating the job you will have; Social Security Card; and $10.00.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Watters in the high school office.

HOMECOMING 2017 :  This year’s Homecoming celebration will be held on September 29 – 30.  Some of the highlights for this year include:                                                                                                                                Friday, 9/29:

·         Homecoming parade in Norwalk starting at 2:30 ( Note that this year will feature a new parade route, starting at the old creamery and ending in the park. ) 

·         Homecoming game vs Hillsboro at 7:00

Saturday, 9/30:

·         Falcon Golf Scramble at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Barre Mills, beginning at 10:00

·         Homecoming Dance at 8:00 in the Middle School gym


                This year’s Falcon Golf Scramble will be held on Saturday, 9/30, at 10:00, at Fox Hollow in Barre Mills.  The event includes numerous prizes as well as lunch.  Please sign up by September 20!  Registration forms are available on the NOW Website, or contact Ken Clinton at school.


                Our annual Brookwood clothing sale is underway.  This year, purchases can be made online.  Simply go to the Falcon Shop page on our website, and click on the Fall Clothing Order Form.  Contact Ken Clinton with questions.  Sale closes on September 20.


                The NOW Safety Patrol is in the midst of its annual fundraiser.  Contact any patrol member or the 6th grade teachers to make a purchase.  Fundraiser ends on 9/18.

On Thursday September 28th, support the Socks and Sentiments for Houston by bringing two or more pairs of new socks to the Necedah vs. Brookwood volleyball match and you will get free admission.  The socks will be sent to the Houston Texas area to help out with hurricane Harvey relief.  Men’s, women’s or children’s socks will be very much appreciated.  Thanks from the Brookwood FFA.
