Summary: It took almost all of the twenty minutes of overtime for Northville to earn the 2-1 win over visiting Canajoharie. The first half was back and forth with each team finding times of possession and each squad sending three shots on the frame. Chase Wood for Northville and Jared Bentz for Canjo kept the nets clean the first half. Just over five minutes into the second half Jacob Frank won the ball down the right flank and sent an awesome shot from 40 yards that floated over the keeper and into the far window for the lead. Canjo came back strong determined to get back into the game. Their pressure found pay dirt when Alex Blanchard sent a ball through to Cody Haig. Haig calmly hit a shot far post to even the match. Although both sides tried to find the winning goal, neither could and regulation ended 1-1. Through a tense overtime, neither team could find just the right combination to put the game away until the final minute of the second OT. Northville earned a corner with a minute left. Curtis Arnold sent the ball into the box. For a few agonizing moments the ball was knocked back and forth until Levi Morgan made contact and put in the winning goal for the Falcons in sudden death! Both teams should be commended for their efforts today in an exciting match. Northville held the advantage in shots on goal at 10-7, Canjo had 6 corners to Northville’s 1, and Wood had 6 saves for the Falcons while Bentz had 9 for Canjo.

Canjo’s League Record: 0-5-1 Non-League Record: 1-4-0 Overall Record: 1-9-1

Northville's League Record: 2-7 Non-League Record: 1-2 Overall Record: 3-9
