The members of the World Language Department have established an honor society for students in advanced world language study, for the following reasons:

  • To recognize and reward high achievement in the world language classroom – in French, Italian, Spanish, or American Sign Language – and to promote the continuity of, interest in, and enthusiasm for the language study.
  • To stimulate this achievement, interest and enthusiasm for the study of a second language among the entire student body.
  • To foster an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance of all cultures, to learn from one another, and to appreciate the value of a multi-cultured society.

Acceptance for membership for this year’s induction will be based on the following criteria:

  • Students must be presently enrolled in level 4,  5, or AP of language study having successfully completed level 3.
  • Cumulative average of 90% in the language.
