Oct. 12, 2017 - In at least one complete sentence, tell us something you want to learn in band this year.

Oct. 4, 2017 - In at least one complete sentence, tell us something we need to know about YOU! 

April 21 - List at least 5 items, as a band, that we need to do to make our May 2 concert even better.

April 14 - List at least 5 behaviors YOU can do to help make our rehearsals more productive.  

April 5 - With less than a month until our concert, create a personal goal and a plan of how you will reach that goal by May 2. 

March 24 - No writing sample needed. Just practice and turn in reports on Thursday since there is no school on Fri.

March 17 - What are two free on line sources you can use to improve your band skills?  How can you use each one?

March 7 - No writing sample needed this week. Just practice!

Feb. 27  - Key Signatures - Using your instruments' clef, draw key signatures for C, Bflat, G, F and Eflat Major.

Feb. 22 - Articulation - Using complete sentences, define staccato, legato, accent and slur.

Feb. 16 - NO reports due this week due to speaker on Monday and Conference give back day on Friday.

Feb. 10 - Edulastic Quiz

Feb. 3  - Using complete sentences write out the rule regarding accidentals. Bonus, what are accidentals and what do they do?

Jan. 27 - Repeats - Using complete sentences define and draw repeat signs, a single measure repeat sign, D. C. al fine and D. S. al fine.

Jan. 20, 2017 - Dynamics  Using complete sentences define piano, forte, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, crescendo and descrescendo.

Jan. 13, 2017 - Breathing - Make two lists.  The first listing words or actions that are helpful when breathing to play an instruments.  The second list is a group of words or actions that is not helpful when breathing to play an instrument. 

Dec. 16, 2016 - Define the musical term articulation.  Define and draw an accent mark.

Dec. 9, 2016 - Write something that you personally did well during the concert.  Write something that you thought the band did well during the concert. Write something that either you or the band can do to be better for our next concert.

Dec. 2, 2016 - No practice reports this week.  Concert Sunday at 2:00. Be there at 1:30 for warm ups.  Wear band shirts, black dress pants and shoes, black socks and tuck your shirts in.

WRITING PROMPT - NOVEMBER 10
