  • Mon. Sept. 17 - Friday Sept. 21 We're cruising along in health class.  6th graders are getting into their Nicotine and Tobacco unit.  7th graders are wrapping up their Social and Emotional Health unit with a quiz on Tuesday.  8th graders are also taking their Teen Depression and Suicide Prevention quiz on Tuesday, and then we will move on to the CPR unit.

  • Sept. 11 - Sept. 14, 2018 Another short week, but we're determined to learn and move forward with our learning in health.  6th Graders are wrapping up their GERMS unit, and will move on to the Nicotine Unit.  7th Graders are learning about Social and Emotional health, and will complete a Video Quest on Thursday (due next Monday).  8th graders are wrapping up their Teen Depression and Suicide Prevention unit- during National Suicide Prevention month!  Students have a skills assessment where they will show how they know how to ACT if they are dealing with a situation where someone needs help with depression or suicidal ideation!  Such an important skill to know how to advocate for oneself or a loved one!

  • Sept. 4 - Sept. 7th I hope everyone enjoyed a long weekend!  By Wednesday afternoon, all students should be into their health Google Classrooms.  6th graders are embarking on their first mini-unit... GERMS!  Check out the 6th Grade eBook tab to learn more!  7th graders are learning about effective communication and conflict resolution.  Check out the Social & Mental/Emotional Health chapter in the 7th Grade eBook to learn more!  8th graders are learning about Teen Depression and Suicide prevention.  There are so many wonderful resources to access in the 8th Grade eBook!  All students are going to get an independent assignment on Thursday.  These assignments play an important part in showing growth related to specific health standards.  THEY ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER ...

  • New School Year~ August 22 - August 24 Welcome back to all students!  Looking forward to a fun quarter in health where we'll learn and practice knowledge and skills!  This week we will be meeting in the small gym so we can take care of business with the whole PE/Health team!

  • Monday, May 14 - Friday, May 18 Another Soggy Spring Week!  Hopefully we will get the crummy weather out of the way, and our summer will be spectacular!  ALL STUDENTS should be aware that the Values Clarification assignment is due on May 24th.  Feel free to complete, and turn it in early.  6th Grade is in the midst of their Safety and First Aid Unit.  7th Grade is finishing up their Body Image Unit, and moving on to Alcohol Abuse.  8th Grade is on the tail end of the Drug Abuse Unit, and will move on to "The Mother of All Health Assessments" next week, where students will have the opportunity to plan out an Amazing, Healthy Future!

  • April 30 - May 4 Warm weather has finally arrived!  Hooray!  8th Grade health students are finishing up their CPR unit with assessments, and transitioning on to the Drug Abuse unit.  7th Graders are deep into their Body Image unit, and 6th Graders are learning about Tobacco and Nicotine!  ALL students will be given their Values Clarification assignment on Thursday, and it will be DUE ON OR BEFORE MAY 24th.

  • April 16 - Friday, April 20 All students should be reminded that the Independent Assignment (colored packet) is due on or before April 27th.  6th grade is moving on from Germs to Goal Setting!  Look forward to making your own sweet health goal!  7th graders are wrapping up their Social and Emotional Health unit.  The Video Quest assignment will be due by Friday. Time was given in class to work on that.  Also, there will be a quiz on Thursday.  Practice with Quizizz from home!  The link is on Google Classroom.  8th grade is wrapping up the Teen Depression / Suicide Prevention unit.  Quiz on Thursday as well- and students can study with the Quizizz link on GC as well!  The Flipgrid ACT practice will be due ...
