  • Happy Thanksgiving Week! Enjoy your fall break students!  I wish you a safe, happy and restful week off!  Don't forget you all have a Values Clarification assignment due Thursday, Nov. 30th.  Many of you have already turned this in, but for those who haven't, perhaps you can find 20 minutes to work on it with a parent or guardian!

  • Monday, Nov. 12 - Friday, Nov. 17 One more week before Thanksgiving Break!  7th Graders are wrapping up their Social and emotional health unit with an in-class video quest- due by Friday!  Please make sure your answers are thorough and thoughtful!  Students also will take a Summative Assessment on S/E health on their block day.  8th graders are finishing up their unit on Teen Depression / Suicide Prevention with a quiz on their block day.  6th graders are finishing up their unit on Germs, and playing a Sink the Germs game on Thursday.  Full Fitness on Friday.  Wear gym shoes everyone!  Be excellent!  Have a super Turkey Day and safe and fun week with friends and family!

  • Monday, Nov. 6 - Friday, Nov. 10 All students were given a copy of a Values Clarification Assignment this week.  It is to be completed on or before Thursday, November 30th, and it requires a conversation with a parent or guardian.  This assignment is in a small colored packet, but can also be found in the grade level paper downloads section of this eBook.  7th graders are learning about Social and Emotional Health and Conflict Resolution this week, 8th graders are learning about Teen Depression and Suicide Prevention, and 6th Graders are learning about Germs!  Simple Summative Assessments will be taken next week on all topics.

  • Monday, Oct. 30 - Friday, Nov. 3 Welcome Quarter 2 Students!  I look forward to an amazing 9 weeks with you filled with health lessons, fitness and fun! 6th Graders should have their "Fakebook" page and their "Coat of Arms" done by Thursday of this week.

  • MONDAY, OCT. 23 - FRIDAY, OCT. 26 We're wrapping up the quarter!  This is the last week of health class.  Please remember all Assignment #6 and Assignment #7s are due on Wednesday, Oct. 25th of this week.  Please get them in.  6th and 7th grade will update their fitness goals and 8th grade will do an assignment to map out a fabulous future!  All students will finish up their brief sex education unit this week!

  • Monday, Oct. 16 - Thursday, Oct. 19 (No school for Students on Friday) Another short week for students!  6th graders will be taking their tobacco quiz and then moving on to first aid and safety.  7th graders are wrapping up their alcohol abuse unit with a quiz next Monday.  8th graders are sharing their own personal natural highs, learning about sexually transmitted infections and considering a life/health plan for a great future.  NEXT WEEK IS THE LAST WEEK OF THE QUARTER!  All students will be having their brief sex education unit.  We will cover as much as we can from each curriculum in the time we have!  This quarter seemed to fly by, didn't it?!

  • Tuesday, Oct. 10-Friday, Oct. 13 We only have three weeks left in the quarter!  That's exciting and daunting all at the same time.  :) 6th graders are in the thick of the tobacco unit- which we will wrap up next week with a quiz.  Please study the information in the tobacco section of the ebook.  7th graders have finished up the Body Image unit this week with a quiz, and they are moving on to Alcohol Abuse.  8th graders are wrapping up their drug education unit, and will move on to making an amazing plan for their future, with consideration for reducing health risks and improving quality of life!  ALL STUDENTS have been given 2 homework assignments in the form of a colored packet!  The ...
