About Me:

My full name is Sarah Serena Bishop.  I received my education in the Norman Public Schools beginning at Adams Elementary where I studied music with Sandy Knudson, moving on to Longfellow Middle School where I studied music with Brenda Webb, and finally at Norman North High School where I studied music with Brad Benson, Brenda Wagner, and Tony Gonzalez.  My freshman year of college I attended Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont.  I worked vocally with Tom Bogden and studied the psychology of music with David Anderegg.  I returned to Norman my sophomore year and completed my education at the University of Oklahoma.  I graduated in 2006 with my degree in elementary education.  While I did my student teaching in fifth grade at Adams elementary, I completed one semester of graduate work in education.  I was hired at Wilson Elementary in 2007 to teach 5th grade, and returned in 2008 to teach music!

I love cooking, singing, playing violin, reading, and spending time with my family.  My passion is teaching your children, and I try to bring my best to them each day!
