About Mrs. Phillips

Hello, Jackson Tigers!

My name is Dana Phillips and I am very excited to be the teacher-librarian at Jackson Elementary. I began my teaching career in 1995 as a Kindergarten teacher. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. I live in Norman with my husband, three children and our rat terrier, Pepper. My children attend Oklahoma State University, University of Central Oklahoma and Norman North. My passion for reading began in a three room school house in rural Nebraska. A highlight of my school days was when the Bookmobile would come to the school. Some of my favorite books back then were Ramona books, Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew mysteries. I look forward to working with the students and families at Jackson Elementary.
