I am very excited to return to Norwood-Fontbonne Academy for my fourth year as the Technology Teacher and Support person. In this role, I meet with every student at NFA on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Additionally, I provide support to the staff in regards to implementing technology into their classrooms, troubleshooting issues with NFA’s systems, and serving as a resource for any technology related questions. I am also excited to be involved in NFA Athletics as I return to the JV Soccer coaching staff – Go Bears!
Teaching in a Catholic School, in particular, Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, is a very special experience. There are many reasons why I choose to teach in this setting, however it is the underlying commitment to shared values and beliefs, as well as, the sense of community that make NFA unique. My goals for this year are to educate students in the area of technology and to assist in the continued integration of technology into diverse curriculum areas. I am dedicated to furthering the NFA vision by providing an academically rich learning experience which challenges our students to become self-directed persons who live gospel values, enjoy learning, make reflective choices, and treasure themselves, others, and the Earth.
Prior to joining the staff at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, I worked in the accounting and finance field for several years. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from La Salle University and a Masters of Science in Education from Gywnedd-Mercy College. I'm certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in the areas of Business, Computers, and IT (K-12), as well as, Secondary and Middle School Math.
I reside in West Mt. Airy with my husband Matt and daughter Maren. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, reading, traveling, running/biking, and spending time with friends and family.
