Public Art

For this project our middle school art classes investigated the difference between public art, graffiti art, and vandalism. We drew inspiration from contemporary artists and worked together in groups to create interactive tape art murals around MMS. Everyone learned how to problem solve while drawing with tape, how location can impact a work of art, and how to communicate about our work. Our main goal was to create positive works of art that would make the campus bright and fun for everyone! Seeing that these works of art were temporary we decided to record time-lapse videos of ourselves making them.  Please take a look at some of our videos below.
