Summer 2013/Fall 2013:
The Math Department at Northern New Mexico College has been awarded one of the LANL Foundation Educational Small Grants  for $1,500 to be spent in small fellowships of $250 each for training of math students in a variety of applications.

Fall 2011/ Spring 2012: The Math center at Northern New Mexico College has been awarded one of the
LANL Foundation Educational Outreach Grants (2011/2012 Academic Year) for the designing and implementation of support-modules for 100 to 400 level math/science courses including
  • Workshops: in graphing, Matlab, use of scientific calculators and software; 
  • Computer or Traditional Projects on various topics like quadratics, complex numbers, matrices, derivatives, integrals, including application problems like fractals, satellites, waves, etc.
  • Seminars on historical and contemporary scientific topics. 
  • We offer two full scholarships per semester ($1,000 each) for upper level STEM students wanting to get experience in presenting projects, hosting seminars, etc. to lower level fellow students.
