Meet Mrs. Driggs

Hi! My name is Crystal Driggs and I am the School Counselor here at GWES.

I love being a school counselor because I get to work with kids and I never know what my day will bring! Teaching children social skills, how to express their feelings, and good character is something they will benefit from for the rest of their lives. My approach to counseling is proactive and student-centered. My goal is to help ALL students be successful academically, socially, and emotionally.

I attended Virginia Commonwealth University for my undergraduate education and received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Then, I continued my education at VCU for my Masters of Education in School Counseling, which I received in May 2008. Right after graduating in May, I was fortunate enough to be hired as GWES' long term substitute counselor and then ended up being given the opportunity to stay as the full-time school counselor that Fall. Needless to say, I have been here at Watkins ever since!

I grew up and currently reside in Mechanicsville, VA.  My husband and I got married in 2006 and had a little boy in May 2014. During my free time I love to run and workout, play with our rescue dog Lola, go to the river, and watch VCU Basketball. Go RAMS!
