Students in grades K-8 participate in regular physical education and health classes. In high school all students must complete two years of physical education to satisfy graduation requirements. Most high school students take Health/PE 9 and Driver Education/PE 10 in order to complete these requirements. Students in grades 11 and 12 also have the opportunity to take several Advanced Physical Education courses as elective options. New Kent County Public Schools also provide a Family Life Education curriculum in accordance with Virginia Department of Education guidelines.
