About Me

I am entering my eleventh year in education and all have been with New Kent County.  This is my fourth year as the computer lab teacher, and I am loving it!  I taught 3rd grade Special Education the first four years, and I was an ITRT and Data Specialist for three years after that.  I thoroughly enjoy helping my students discover new skills and helping them to safe as they navigate the ever evolving world of technology and social media.

I grew up in Williamsburg and graduated from Lafayette High School.  After graduating Liberty University, I lived for 5 years in Texas, where I met my wife. Upon the birth of our first daughter, we moved back to Virginia to be closer to family.  I've lived in four different states and Virginia is by far my favorite.  I currently reside in Henrico with my wife and two daughters who attend school right here in New Kent.

I love sports and am avid New York Yankees and Washington Redskins fan.  My bucket list includes attending a baseball game in every professional stadium.  I also love reading, and one of my favorite series is The Ranger's Apprentice, which can be checked out at both of our school libraries.  My wife and I are both huge Dr. Who fans, and never miss an episode!
