Group Commander: Maj. Daniel White 

Major Dan White joined Civil Air Patrol in 1972 with the Manhattan Cadet Squadron #2, New York Wing. During his Cadet years he has held every cadet leadership position. Major White achieved the rank of C/LTC. He took the Spaatz test once before aging out. He led his team at the National Cadet Competition as Team Commander, as well as leading his team at the National Color Guard Competition as Team Commander. Major White attended Cadet Officers School at Maxwell AFB and also went on IACE to Great Britain. Major White’s career included joining the U.S. Army in 1979 (on delayed entry) and was assigned to 7th Group upon completion of Special Forces training. He is a Senior Parachutist with Combat Star and is HALO qualified. Major White participated in Operation Urgent Fury to liberate the Americans on the island of Grenada.  

His military career awards and Decorations include: Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal with “V” device and 3 repeats, Army Achievement Medal with 3 repeats, Humanitarian Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Ribbon, Expeditionary Ribbon, NCO Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon.

Major White returned to Civil Air Patrol in 2007. His past duty positions include; DCC, DCS, IG, Squadron Commander, Deputy Group commander, encampment Executive Officer , Chief TAC, Senior TAC, Flight TAC.
His CAP Awards and Decorations include: National Commanders Commendation Medal, Commanders Commendation Award with 4 repeats, Disaster Relief Medal with “V” device with 1 repeat, Encampment Ribbon with 8 repeats, Earhart Award, and various other Cadet and Senior Achievements.

Major White is a Small Business Owner.

Group 225 Headquarters is located on the grounds of the 177th Fighter Wing at the Atlantic City Airport, New Jersey.


Group 225 Meetings are held at the discretion of the Commander, either in-person or via teleconference. Uniform for the in-person meetings are Any authorized CAP Uniform.

Group 225 is comprised of 8 Composite Squadrons, they are Atlantic County Composite, Air Victory Composite, Cape May County Composite, Cumberland County Composite, Gloucester County Composite, Jack Schweiker Composite, Ocean Composite and Thomas B. McGuire Composite Squadrons.

Deputy Commander:  Maj. George Tudder

Major George Tudder started his CAP career as a senior member  in 1988 in the Maryland Wing at the White Marsh Composite Squadron.  He has been a member of the Tennessee, Illinois, and Utah Wings of CAP.  His previous duty was with the Utah Wing as their Wing Deputy Vice Commander.  His previous positions include serving as a Wing Director of Operations,  Wing Director of Logistics, Wing Director of Flight Operations and numerous other roles within the Squadrons he has served.  Maj. Tudder is a qualified Senior Incident Commander and has extensive SAR experience.  In addition, he is a CAP Senior Pilot as well as qualified Ground Team and UDF member.

Maj. Tudder continues to serve in the Atlantic County Composite Squadron as their ES Officer and will also be serving on the NJ Wing staff as the Wing ES Training Officer.

His CAP Awards and Decorations include: Commanders Commendation Award, National Commander's Unit Citation, Unit Citation Award, Search "Find" Ribbon with Prop & 10 repeats, Air Search and Rescue Ribbon with Prop & 10+ repeats, Homeland Security Ribbon with 1 repeat, Cadet orientation Pilot Ribbon with repeat, Cadet Special Activity Ribbon, Encampment Ribbon with repeat, and various other Senior Achievements.      

Maj. Tudder has earned an MBA and a Masters in Information Technology from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland and is currently employed as the CIO at Atlantic Medical Imaging in Galloway, NJ
