First of all, thanks to everyone who helped with the bake sale! Doing fundraising allows EWB to keep doing the things we do, and we were able to make a significant contribution to EWB funds in a short amount of time.
In addition, the next general meeting will be on Wednesday, March 4. This will be the last general meeting before the Spring Break, so be sure to come.
Hello to everyone at Engineers without Borders, and welcome back in the year of 2015.
We will be having a meeting soon, so stayed tuned for further announcements.
Engineers without Borders will be meeting on Wednesday, November 19 at 4 pm in Kupfrian 118.
Mike Moran, CEO of Holy Name Hospital, will be attending the meeting.
Those who come to the meeting will be entered in a raffle for prizes, so be sure to come!
Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting on October 15.
The next general meeting will take place on October 29. This is because on October 22, EWB is having its first major fundraiser of the semester. The fundraiser is a bake sale, and will take place in front of Laurel Hall from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM.
All members of EWB are encouraged to volunteer during the bake sale - this is a major fundraiser for the club and helps in allowing the club to travel to Haiti during the winter and summer breaks.
Congratulations to everyone on having our first successful meeting of the 2013-2014 year. Our next meeting will be on October 8 in the same room - Kupfrian 118.
In addition, keep up with any project updates that may be sent out by the project leads.
Hello and welcome back to NJIT! We hope that everyone has had a good summer and are ready for the Fall 2014 Semester.
Be sure to check your emails and the website for any meetings or events which have been planned - they will be coming up sooner rather than later.
First of all, EWB would like to thank everyone for a good semester - we wouldn't have been able to accomplish everything we did without your help.
Over the summer, we will be sending three people to Milot, Haiti, where we will continue to observe the success of the arborloo project, as well as to check up on the water filters introduced previously.
As for next semester, continue to look at the website and at your emails for updates.
Thanks to everyone who helped out last Friday with the fundraiser - it is events like this give Engineers without Borders the ability to go to places like Haiti and help out.
Hello everyone, welcome back from Spring Break! We'll be having a meeting soon, so stay tuned for updates over email or on the website.
First of all, thanks to everyone who helped with the bake sale on November 26 - we were able to start making a profit around 20 minutes in, and given that the whole thing last around 5 hours we can expect a lot more. These fundraisers aren't necessarily the most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, but they're integral to allow the club to continue to function - the club needs a lot of money to get engineering projects set up in places like Haiti, and fundraising is one of the most consistent sources of revenue.
Also, it is unknown whether there will be another meeting this semester, but a potential meeting date could be December 3, 2013. Keep looking at your emails, we'll get back when we've decided on the meeting date.
Finally, we hope everyone will have a great Thanksgiving and we hope that those who are going to the EWB Regional Conference in New Brunswick will have a good time.
