About your teacher

I have been an ESL teacher for twenty years. I received a B.A. from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and a M.Ed. from The University of Texas-Arlington. I taught in Irving ISD for 8 years and have taught in Northside ISD for the past 12 years. I was recognized as the 2014-2015 Northside Middle School Educator of the Year and the 2017 ESC - 20 ESL Teacher of the Year.

As an ESL teacher, along with delivering curriculum and language support in English Language Arts, I facilitate activities for the students as they learn to be a contributing member of the school and community. As we move through the year, my students will understand and be able to demonstrate the necessary study habits and social skills expected in a mainstream classroom.

If you need anything, please ask. I am here to help!
