Mr. Patterson - Industrial Tech. and Tech. Applications

Welcome!

Industrial Technology is an elective only offered to 7th and 8th grade students. Each grade's curriculum is unique. As a result, 8th grade students do not need to have taken I.T. in 7th grade. Our lesson planning is fluid and changes as students, technological advancements, and current events provide us new opportunities.

Industrial Technology utilizes two classrooms (B121, is a computer lab and B126 is our woodworking shop). Classes routinely alternate between both rooms for activities.

Technology Applications is an elective only offered to 7th and 8th grade students. Again, each grade's curriculum is unique. As a result, 8th grade students do not need to have taken Tech. Apps. in 7th grade. Our lesson planning is fluid and changes as students, technological advancements, and current events provide us new opportunities. This course is taught solely in B121.

For all of my courses, per district policy, we use a 50/50 grading policy in which 50 percent of grade are summative (projects and exams) and 50 percent are formative (daily grades such as Video Review Forms). There will be no homework assigned or works-in-progress that leave the classroom until completion.

My conference period is split and runs from 9:20-10:00. I can be reached at 397-3600 ext. 3656 or by email. Tutoring times are flexible and available before or after school per request (or if deemed necessary). I regularly hold tutoring from Tuesdays 7:45-8:20 and 3:40-4:30.
