General information and expectations for each class
Our goal is to provide the best training to be prepared for life after Reddix. Currently our Employability training sites are Payless at Ingram Mall, McDonalds at Babcock and Wurzbach, HEB on Babcock, and Reddix Campus and Thrift Store. More information about our training sites will be in future newsletters.

The majority of students in CBS 2 are able to remain on task for 45 minutes, follow a 2-3 step direction while in the community, start and finish a task independently, be able to tolerate peers, supervisors, and patrons in the public setting, learn/demonstrate appropriate grooming , hygiene and restroom needs and work in a 1:5 staff/student ratio while in class or the community. During class time we will be focusing on Independent Skills, Community Skills, and Employability Skills. Specific skills to be worked on are telling time, counting currency and coins and reading signs in the community. As part of Independence Skills all students will have the opportunity to participate in learning at the LEAP Apartment. Students will plan a meal or snack, shop for items needed and practice daily living skills.

We utilize the Unique Learning Curriculum - A standards-based curriculum designed specifically for students with disabilities.  Mission Statement for Unique: All students should have a consistent and quality education that is age-respectful.  CBS 2 uses the Transition Band of the Curriculum.

Support Our Partners

When you are shopping for clothing, going to the movies or choosing a restaurant, I encourage you to choose our Reddix partners HEB, Cici's, ChaChas, Sonic, Pizza Hut, Marshalls etc.  This is a great way to say "Thanks".
