    Good Morning Hector Garcia Gladiators!

    Today is Monday, March 27th, 2017. This is the start of the 28th week of the school year. It’s also the 4th week of the fifth 6 weeks period. Today is National “Joe” Day.

    Here are today’s announcements:

    Robotics teams! We will NOT meet today in preparation for STAAR testing.

    The Kindness Club is excited to announce the "Love is a 4-Legged Word" Pet Supply Drive! We will be collecting pet supplies such as collars, leashes, beds, treats, dog & cat food, toys, and towels. All 5th period classes will be competing with each other to collect the most pet supplies. The 5th period class that collects the most will win an ice cream party! The deadline is April 12th. All supplies will benefit San Antonio Animals in need! Donate today!

    Current Weather - cloudy and 68°.

    Forecast - about the same as yesterday and a high of 85°.

  • Dress Codes By: Valeria R.I believe there should not be more freedom given to students at schools on dress codes. Firstly, it would limit people unintentionally offending others with phrases on their shirts some examples are religious sayings or controversial subjects. This is a simple rule to follow, but of course there are some controversial sayings that some people may find offensive and other people may think it’s harmless. Banning it altogether prevents these types of problems from happening. Secondly, it prevents younger girls from putting something on that shows too much skin.
