About me...I am a San Antonio native and a product of both NISD and NEISD schools. I graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Sociology in 1993 and I received an M.Ed. from the University of Illinois in 2011. This is my 22nd year teaching at Clark.

I like the Chicago Cubs, Norway, Michael Card, photography, Dr. Pepper, David Wilcox, cinnamon rolls with raisins from Broadway Daily Bread, Macatawa, Michigan, James Taylor, Iowa, Ben Rector, Garrison Keillor, and listening to EconTalk, This American Life, Radiolab, and 99% Invisible and Conversations with Tyler among other things and in no particular order.

On a more personal note, I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for more than 24 years. My wife is a former nurse and homeschool teacher, and is now an attorney. Our daughter is a senior education major at Baylor this year. She's the captain of the BU Club Soccer team and on Steering Committee for Student Foundation. Our oldest son is a sophomore at Pepperdine. He'll be studying in Switzerland this year. Our two youngest are a senior and a junior in high school. Both swim competitively and sing in the choir. One of them runs hurdles and competes in the long jump. All three boys have surpassed me in height.
