Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00-4:30 during the school year.

Your child(ren) will be assigned a counselor based on their last name.  See alpha breakdown on the right.

Please note:
  • Individual parent conferences can be scheduled by contacting the classroom teacher.
  • Parent conferences with two or more teachers need to be scheduled by calling the Assistant Principal's Secretary (Katie Gianotti) at 397-8223.

In order to build a relationship and trust with students, what is discussed in individual counseling remains confidential.

What information needs to be told to parents, other helping-professionals, and/or school officials?

Situations involving:
  • Harm to yourself
  • Harm to other people
  • Sexual contact/Pregnancy
  • Threats to school safety

There are four components of a Developmental School Guidance and Counseling Program.

Our counselors are here to serve our students by providing a comprehensive guidance program that focuses on those following four components.
  • Guidance Curriculum
  • Responsive Services
  • Individual Planning
  • System Support
Needs are identified and delivered through the guidance curriculum and individual planning systems.

Special needs are met through the responsive services component.

The needs of the school system are met through system support.

All of the program components address the requirements of the law.

Brandeis counselors are bringing out the very best in every student... academic, character, citizenship, and preparedness for college, career and community.
