Jason Jarvis

Jason has been teaching for over 20 years both in the classroom as well as working alongside educators. Currently, employed at Trinity Christian School, Bulington, Ontario, as a grade 7 and 8 teacher and the Director or Technology. The use of technology in education is to help students achieve 21st century skills in an online environment. Nimbus Christian Education provides opportunities for students to learn in a Christ centred community. I have had the wonderful privilege to work alongside passionate people who want to see our students understand a Christian Worldview. I am excited to be a part of the leading Nimbus Christian Education by enabling students to flourish through the use of technology.

With over 25 years of teaching and curriculum development experience, I am truly blessed to be part of the Board of Directors for Nimbus Christian Education. What makes Nimbus unique is its dedication and commitment to provide exceptional online Ontario Ministry of Education approved credit courses with a Christian worldview empowering all students to nurture their gifts in joyful service of God’s world. It is through my teaching experience at the post-secondary, secondary, and elementary academic levels, that I fully appreciate and embrace each student as a gift from the Creator. It is through my employment experiences that I hope to not only serve Nimbus’ Board of Directors, but also give testimony of thanksgiving and service to Him.

As a board member for Nimbus Online Education it has been my goal to share my experience as a course designer and online instructor to further the mission of Nimbus. It is in sharing of the gifts and talents that God, in Christ has graciously provided through teaching that Christ may be made known to our students and that students are encouraged in their walk of faith. It is in supporting our parents in their efforts of raising their children in Christ, that students see the greater Christian worldview.

Joyce has been actively engaged with computers from the time that they were gigantic, needing a room in which to store them, to today’s ubiquitous hand-held devices. An educator for over 40 years in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools, and a strong supporter of online Christian education, Joyce celebrates what Nimbus Christian Education is becoming; an option for schools, students, and parents in their pursuit of online Christian Education, that will grant Ontario credits for those interested in achieving the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
