Classwork - Complete the screenplay completion and constructive criticism assignments. 
Once your writing team has completed receiving and giving constructive criticism from and to all other writing teams, send the Celtx file your writing team created (including any changes you have made since receiving constructive criticism) to the class Google Drive Drop Box. Make sure the file name includes the first names of each member of your writing team.

Assignment #13 - Class Short Film - Part 5 - Constructive Criticism: 
A. When your team's script has been completed, make sure all spelling, punctuation, capitalization and grammar is correct. Make sure everyone on your writing team agrees that you have clearly indicated what will be seen on the screen in your action descriptions, and you have written dialogue that tells the story without extraneous words. 
B. Make sure all the names of your writing team appear on the script's title page in the "Act 3" box. When you think your script is the best it can be, use Celtx to create a .PDF file, then print out the pages of the file that you have added to the class-written script. 
C. Exchange your printed copy with another writing team. Once each team has read each other's script, discuss the merits of each script ending. What works well and why? What needs improvement and why? Take written notes of the comments you receive about your script. 
D. Continue sharing your team's script until you have exchanged feedback from all of the other writing teams.

Assignment #12 - Class Short Film - Part 4 - Screenplay Completion: 
1. Get assigned to a writing team. 
2. Choose one team member's computer, then download the class's Celtx screenplay file into your Google Drive's folder for this class (Create a FILM folder within your DVA folder.) 
3. Re-name the Celtx file by adding the name of each member of your team after the film's title. 
4. Update the title page by listing the names of every member of your team in the "Script ending by" section.
5. Open the file with Celtx, then work with your group to finish writing the script.

NOTE: Follow the process of using Celtx that has been demonstrated in class. Make sure when your script is done it has 3 to 4 more pages than what you received. You are writing Act 3 and should follow the three Act dramatic structure.

2. Have the member of your team doing the pitch practice it to the rest of your team. You will have no more than 3 minutes, so you may not be able to just read your typed synopsis.
Assignment #8 - Class Short Film - Part 2 - Story Pitch: 1. Put the proper heading information on a sheet of paper. 2. For each story idea presented, write down the following: A: The title of the story. B: What you like about the story. C: How you think the story idea could be improved. 3. After all story ideas have been pitched, write down the story idea you would like to see made into a film and why it is your first choice.

Assignment #4 - Short Film Production Role: What would you like to contribute to the production of a class short film? Fill in the Production Role Preference Form and submit it. You must be logged into your nhusd.k12.ca.us account to be able to use the form.
Assignment #5 - Computer Account Set-up: Use your school email ID and password to login; Follow the directions in class (most of which are in this handout.) When you are done make sure you have: 
1. Customized your Finder preferences. 
2. Installed your Google Drive account using Google Backup and Sync  and synchronized files. 
3. Added these applications to your Dock: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, LibreOffice, Adobe CC programs: (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition) Audacity, Celtx, Quicktime
4. Set Chrome to "Always Show Bookmarks Bar" and have these saved on the Bookmarks Bar: LoganTV.netLoganTV.net/yaccoJamesLogan.org
5. Set files to open with proper application: LibreOffice (.doc) Quicktime (.mp4 .m4v .mov)
 NOTE  If you have moved to a new computer, make sure everything on your old computer has been synchronized with your online Google Drive.  Your old account will be deleted next Monday.
