27 Million Windows

Since 1965, Head Start has represented a national commitment to America's most vulnerable children and has opened a window of opportunity for more than 27 million people who have gone on to achieve success in all walks of life.

This year alone, sequestration has closed the window of opportunity for as many as 57,000 infants and toddlers.

Help keep the window open!

The National Head Start Association is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that believes that every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to succeed in life if given the opportunity that Head Start offers to children and their families. It is the voice for more than 1 million children, 200,000 staff and 1,800 Head Start grantees in the United States.
