Comparing & Estimating

posted Dec 21, 2016, 7:25 AM by Jeffrey Jones

"Each day of the school year I present my students with an estimation challenge. I love helping students improve both their number sense and problem solving skills. I'd like to share the estimation challenges with you and your students. Michael Fenton and I have collaborated on this handout for your students. Happy Estimating!"

"Here is a list of all of the skills that cover comparing! These skills are organized by grade, and you can move your mouse over any skill name to view a sample question. To start practicing, just click on any link. IXL will track your score, and the questions will automatically increase in difficulty as you improve!"

This Website was mentioned in the book, (The) Classroom Chef: Sharpen your lessons, season your classes, make Math meaningful - P 510.71 STE

Here is a Worksheet for students to use - would be great laminated!
