I am thrilled to begin year 24 teaching music at the "Home of the Cardinals!"  Holly Tree Elementary is a wonderful community in which to teach and learn; everyone is committed to helping our students succeed.

I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia, National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Music from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in December 2006 and Certification Renewal in November 2015, and completed the Master of Music in Music Education degree at East Carolina University in June 2010. 

I enjoy walking, reading, singing and playing flute with my church choir, ringing in my church handbell choir, and singing in the community group, Cape Fear Chorale. (www.capefearchorale.org)  I love to play flute for weddings and special events.
