Online Resource/Tool students/parents will use this year:

1. Planbook.com

***Please visit my Planbook link to see what your child is learning on a daily basis. This is basically the online version of my lesson plans for each day of the week, and grouped by Core Classes. I will post the lesson plans Monday-Friday of each current week at a time. This will be a very valuable tool for students and parents for this entire school year. We also encourage students to check our Planbooks each week, on their own, in order to aid them in time managment and organizational skills. Students can write down their homework/assingments/quizzes/tests/etc. for the entire week in a planner. This will be very important for your student this year in order to help them stay organized with all of their different classes and teachers they have now entering middle school. I encourage students to bookmark/save my Planbook link for easy access. I only post one week at a time, whatever the current week is at that moment, in order to eliminate any confusion. Homework is always listed on Planbook. Other notes, PowerPoints, and other materials are attached for that day's lesson too.

2. PowerSchool

***Please visit PowerSchool, with your student's personal login information, to access your child's grades for all classes/teachers. We update our grades on a weekly basis. This is also something we will encourage your child to do on their own, as well. We want our students to become more accountable for their own grades, and by having them check their own PowerSchool accounts regularly, will aid in that! Each student has their own login/password, as well as, each parent/family/guardian. This gives the student access and the parent. Parents, you can also set-up an automatic 'progress report' to be sent to your mobile device (PowerSchool App) or email, on a weekly basis to continually monitor your child's grades/progress for all of their classes. This is a great tool to help parents stay up-to-date with their child's' academics and always know how your child is doing in each of their classes. We encourage students and parents to check their PowerSchool accounts weekly, if not more.
