Dear Families, 

Welcome to Castle Hayne Elementary School !

My Name is Ms. Barker, I am the Resource Teacher at CHES. This is my second year with the Hurricanes but I’ve been in Special Education with New Hanover County for many years. I am so happy to be a part of this educational team. 

My current position will allow me to work closely with individual students to remediate needs in reading, writing and math. I will  pull students into my class for resources or extra support this year. I will also be working closely with each child’s homeroom teacher to ensure that each child has everything they need to have a successful and wonderful year.
